For the first time, CBSE will provide a Data Verification Slip for every student at the time of LOC submission. Schools will be able to verify and correct details such as student name, date of birth, and subject codes between October 13 and October 27, 2025. After this window, no corrections will be allowed, making early verification crucial.
2. Mandatory APAAR ID The Board has made the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID mandatory for all Class 10 and 12 students studying in India. LOCs without APAAR IDs will not be processed. However, international CBSE schools are exempt due to local regulations.
3. Dedicated Process for CWSN Students Special provisions have been introduced for Children With Special Needs (CWSN). Schools must upload all relevant details through a separate portal before the LOC deadline. CBSE has clarified that late requests for CWSN accommodations will not be entertained.
4. Strict Documentation & Accuracy Requirements Schools have been directed to: Upload clear and recent student photographs (including for those not having Class 9 or 11 records). Ensure correct subject codes and combinations while filling LOC. Assign only qualified teachers (teaching Classes 9–12) for board-related duties.
5. Two-Exam Policy for Class 10 Beginning with the 2026 session, Class 10 students will face two board examinations: A mandatory exam in February. An optional improvement exam in May. The LOC for the February exam is compulsory, while the May exam LOC will be opened after the February exams conclude.
6. LOC Submission Deadline Schools must complete LOC submission by September 30, 2025. Any delay will invite penalties and late fees.
